RONNIE FIEG AND THE NIKE BRAND JUST WENT SUPER SWEET ON US AND WE ARE LOVING IT!

We all are petty on some level, I mean, humans! Must be the earth air, lol. On the top of our petty list today is KITH or should we just point direct fingers and call out our man Ronnie fieg? what has Ronnie and co done again this time you are probably thinking, well the footwear and clothing designer extraordinaire(I mean when one of your sneaker designs finds its way on to the cover of the wall street journal which gets sold out that day and afterwards a ton of sneaker deals and collaborations come hunting you down by top players in sneakers, you soooo know you are the shit!) has decided that the awesome pairs of the kith Nike air maestro 2 releasing tomorrow the 29th of September , will ONLY be sold at the new York based footwear and street wear retail brand store KITH and online at kith.com and will never be sold anywhere else(limited edition much? hehe)

Translation? If you don’t reside in new yak or anywhere else a kith store is located and don’t have access to making purchases from kith.com, you screwed baby! Not very nice now is it? lol, we’ll live I guess. The kith air maestro pack is a super active part of the whole Nike take flight sneaker collection which is the New York based sneaker and street wear apparel store’s first collaboration with the Nike brand. The kith Nike air maestro 2 was teased on social media before it was debuted at the 2017 new York fashion week in which it was part of the KITHSPORT collection which was the tag of this year’s kith fashion show for new York fashion week and is definitely one of the kick releases that is taking we sneaker freaks outta the month of September in style.

These awesome sneakers also have a really sweet side to them as they are being released in honor of basketball legend Scottie Pippen’s 52nd birthday (which one of you newbies thought Scottie Pippen was a white guy? show by raise of hand, lol), and is also accompanied by a short movie titled ‘TAKE FLIGHT’ like the tag of the sneaker collection itself, in which our boy Ronnie debutes his directorial skills (didn’t see that one coming, great stuff!).

It was co-directed by Nike sportswear and matte film, co-featured Mr. Scottie’s mini him Scottie Pippen junior and is narrated by the movie focus himself. The short movie showed re-enactments of the basketball athlete’s career path with major highlights of some of his epic makes by street basket ballers and points out his contribution to the dynamic evolution of basketball. Ronnie fieg gushed about just how long he had waited to make this movie and how Scottie Pippen inspired his own love for basketball at a young age. When asked why he chose Scottie Pippen as his kick muse, he said something that melted our hearts.

The kith founder says he feels like Scottie Pippen is one of the most underrated basket ballers of our time(here comes the water works) and when he was thinking up a model for his brand’s collaboration with Nike , Mr. Scottie immediately came to mind. The Nike air maestro 2 and the entire Nike take flight sneaker collection is inspired by the shoes worn by Scottie in general during the 1994 NBA all star before he got his first signature sneaker model. The two sneaker pack is a total rebirth from the retro model and like the phoenix this bad boy totally rose from the ashes and killed with its return(yeah, my over imaginative mind and wild descriptions are a pain and I agree, lol).

The purple colourway pair of the collection is inspired by the former Chicago bulls player’s alma mater(totally hated mine)central Arkansas specifically while the nubuck red colourway pair is a thumbs up to the badass kicks worn by Mr. hall of fame during the 1994 NBA all star game we talked about above. They will be retailed at all kith stores worldwide and online via kith.com by 11am EST for $190, photos below.
