PARTYING WITH KITH COULDN'T GET ANY COOLER,THE AIR PIPPEN ONE IS HERE!
Aha! The final piece of the puzzle! we were so teary eyed not so long ago at the announcement of a soon to be released kith x Nike collaborative sneaker collection which would use basket ball hall of famer the amazing Scottie Pippen as their kick muse and the entire collection would be designed in honor of his 52nd birthday, (too sweet, all I got for my last birthday was, wait for it…….a big fat NOTHING! Smh, life such is super sad when you aren’t a hall of famer or even a pro baller,lol) and that’s not all. A short movie also tagged ‘take flight’ was also made in his honor which showed how Pippen impacted the evolution of basketball. the ‘take flight collection’ was teased by designer Ronnie fieg on instagram before making them come to life during his fashion show for new York fashion week tagged ‘kithsport’ in which the whole take flight collection was a part of.
The first half ( the ‘air maestro 2’) of the collection was released something last week and the second half tagged the air ‘Pippen 1’ will be releasing tomorrow the 6th of October 2017. Both air maestro and air pippens were created in the air Jordan 2 high model (two legends collaborating is such a rad thing).
The air pippens will be retailing at all kith stores and online at kith.com for $205 (the good stuff don’t come cheap kids). Just like the air maestro, which came in a two colorway, the air Pippen one is also in a two colorway. first which is the chimera and bearing various animal prints is inspired by the sleek and calculative animal like movements of Mr. Pippen on the court doing his thing during his active play days (smooth!) and the all black signifies well you know…….I really have no clue(smh, some professional I am!) and both sneakers are covered in pony.
The 6th of October 2017 also is the official date for the opening of the flagship location of kith’s new soho store, (Expanding is never a bad idea, love!) Boy! This is gonna be sucha big deal (pity we weren’t invited, we would have lit that party up good! And before you reach to your phone to snitch on a suspected arsonist, we only meant lit in a good way, aka the millennial way, lol).
